Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2024 [PMSS] – Apply Online

Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) is the type of scheme which works for the students. The main objective of the scheme is to provide education to all the students. The PMSS helps the students at the national level. Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme was introduced from the Academic year 2006-07 to encourage higher technical and professional education for the dependent wards of Ex-Servicemen / Ex Coast Guard personnel and their widows. Under this Scholarship the Children’s and widows of the Ex. Army Service and the other defense members are given the scholarship for further studies.

Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme has the main motive to provide education facilities to the children and widows of martyr soldiers and to provide financial support to these ex-servicemen family. The scholarship is run by the welfare department and National Scholarship Portal.

Benefits of Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2024

• Every year 5500 wards of Ex-Servicemen / Ex Coast Guard personnel and their widows have provided the benefits through the scholarship.
• Each male candidate is given 2500 rupees per month.
• Each female candidate is given 3000 rupees per month.
• Wards of Rajasthan Police has also got a Scholarship of 500 per month.

Eligibility Criteria for PMSS 2024

• The candidate should belong to 1st year can apply for PMSS.
• The students having 60% in 12th/diploma or any recognized degree can apply for the scholarship.
• The wards and widows of the martyrs’ officers and ex-serviceman, or the wards of navy soldiers and the wards/widows of Raj. Police.
• The wards of the para-military and helpers of the paramilitary.

Document Required for PMSS

• ID proof of the candidate like Aadhar Card, Pan card .etc.
• Bank Account Passbook of the candidate.
• Birth Certificate of the candidate.
• Domicile Certificate.
• 12th class mark sheet with any recognized state board.
• Martyrs certificate.

The Kendriya Sainik Board ( KSB)  has the Department of Sainik Welfare in the States / UTs on the policies for resettlement and welfare of Ex-Servicemen, widows and seeks reports from the Director, Department Sainik Welfare / Secretary RSB and Zila Sainik Welfare Officer / Secretary ZSB, on implementation of policies and success in resettling Ex-Servicemen, widows, disabled personnel invalidated out from the Service and their dependents. Advice is also rendered on the welfare schemes required for the clientele, which are financed from funds allotted by the Governments of States / UTs and the Amalgamated Special Funds.
